Fescue Jasperina

Why professionals choose Jasperina

Red fescue Jasperina from the German breeding giant Deutsche Saatveredelung is the choice for those who prioritize lawn aesthetics over constant maintenance. Unlike standard varieties that quickly fade or lose density with minimal irrigation deviations, Jasperina demonstrates phenomenal stress resistance.

Key advantages

• Turf density: Due to its genetic characteristics, the variety forms a very dense grass cover that naturally suppresses weeds, reducing the need for chemical treatment.
• Color palette: The leaves maintain a rich green hue even under moderate drought conditions, making it perfect for ornamental lawns and private gardens.
• Adaptability: The variety thrives in both full sun and partial shade, showing high flexibility in various soil conditions.

Seeding and maintenance features

Seedlings appear within 7–14 days, provided the soil remains sufficiently moist. We recommend strictly adhering to the seeding rate of 20–30 g/m²: excess seeds can lead to over-thickening, which may trigger fungal diseases due to lack of airflow. By following this rate, you achieve a uniform «carpet» that recovers quickly after moderate mechanical use.

Expert verdict

Jasperina is an investment in a long-lasting, durable lawn. It does not require aggressive fertilization and features a moderate growth rate, which reduces the frequency of mowing. It is the top choice for landscape designers looking to create premium-looking lawns with reasonable operational costs.
