Optimal growth occurs at temperatures between 18–22 degrees Celsius. While generally hardy, the plant may require light protective covering in regions prone to severe, snowless winters.

The primary threats to Iberis procumbens are root-rot fungi, often triggered by poor drainage or excessive soil moisture. Clubroot, common among Brassicaceae species, is a significant concern for long-term health.

Powdery mildew can occur if airflow is poor or humidity is too high, manifesting as a white fungal coating on the foliage. Improving plant spacing and air circulation is the most effective preventative measure.

Flea beetles are the most frequent insect pests, often attacking young seedlings and leaves. Regular monitoring and the application of appropriate insecticides help keep pest populations at manageable levels.

Aphids may occasionally infest the flower heads, feeding on plant sap and weakening the structure. Biological control methods are effective when applied at the first sign of infestation.

Crop rotation is essential for disease management. Avoid planting Iberis in areas recently occupied by other members of the Brassicaceae family to prevent the buildup of soil-borne pathogens.
