PRIKUMSKAYA 142 — a variety of hard winter wheat (Triticum durum Desf.) intended for the production of high-quality grain used in the manufacturing of pasta and cereal products. The variety belongs to the leucoleum type and is characterized by a medium-early or early-maturing type with a vegetation period of 221 to 279 days, allowing it to mature 5-8 days earlier than the standard Kristall 2. Plants reach a height of 80-94 cm, have a pyramidal ear of medium density with white semi-long grain and a deep closed groove. PRIKUMSKAYA 142 is distinguished by high winter hardiness, comparable to the Krupinka variety, and lodging resistance, which ensures yield stability. The variety shows resistance to major diseases, such as brown and yellow rust, septoria, and powdery mildew, but is susceptible to head blight. Drought resistance is at the level of the Krupinka standard, making the variety adapted to various climatic conditions. The variety has high yield: average indicators in the region are about 51.6-53.3 c/ha, and the maximum yield reached 72.9 c/ha in the Krasnodar region. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 35 to 48 g, indicating grain largeness. The pasta qualities of the grain are assessed as satisfactory and high, making PRIKUMSKAYA 142 an attractive choice for agronomists focused on the production of quality products and stable yield.
