Description BEZENCHUKSKAYA 110
Bezenchukskaya 110 is a winter rye variety recommended for cultivation in the Samara region and the Middle Volga region. It belongs to mid-late varieties with a vegetative period ranging from 276 to 319 days. Plants are of medium height — from 119 to 149 cm, with an intermediate bush type and a semi-nodding ear of medium length and density. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 31 to 37 grams; the grain is of medium size with a light aleurone layer color. The sowing rate is about 4.5 million seeds per hectare. The variety is characterized by enhanced winter hardiness and drought resistance, making it a reliable choice for regions with variable climatic conditions. Lodging resistance is at the level of the Radon variety, while resistance to shattering and diseases such as brown rust and snow mold is assessed as moderate and average, respectively. Under field conditions, the variety shows weak brown rust infection and average snow mold infection, which corresponds to regional standards. The average yield of the Bezenchukskaya 110 variety is about 38.2 centners per hectare, while under favorable conditions it can reach 75 centners per hectare. The baking qualities of the variety are satisfactory, making it suitable for use in the food industry. The variety was developed based on individual-family selection from a complex hybrid population involving well-known varieties, which ensures its adaptability and yield stability.
