Phytosanitary Resistance

The key feature of "Zolotse" lies in its complex resistance to diseases that typically impact crop profitability. Its genetically ingrained tolerance to brown and yellow rust, as well as septoria, allows for the minimization of fungicide use during the active growth stages. The variety effectively withstands mycosphaerella leaf spot, fusarium, and powdery mildew, maintaining leaf area integrity, which directly influences grain filling.

Morphological Traits and Performance

The 1,000-kernel weight ranges from 40 to 45 grams, indicating excellent spike development. Given its status as a durum wheat variety, the endosperm density requires adherence to optimal harvesting schedules. The variety demonstrates excellent lodging resistance, reducing mechanical harvest losses. The vegetation period offers a wide range of adaptation (210 to 280 days), allowing for flexible sowing dates tailored to specific regional climatic and moisture conditions.
