Adel

Wheat variety Adel is a mid-early, tall winter wheat variety with a vegetation period ranging from 203 to 276 days. Plants reach a height of 81 to 110 cm, ensuring good spike productivity and high yield, reaching 5-9 tons per hectare. The mass of 1000 seeds varies within 36-46 grams, indicating large grain size and high grain quality. The variety is characterized by good grain preservation during delayed harvesting and resistance to shattering, which facilitates harvesting and increases the output of marketable product.

Variety Adel has high resistance to lodging, which significantly reduces yield losses under unfavorable weather conditions. It also demonstrates high resistance to major wheat diseases, including brown and yellow rust, powdery mildew, septoria, fusarium head blight, and loose smut. Drought resistance of the variety is high, allowing for successful cultivation in various climatic conditions, including the North Caucasus region of Russia and several regions of Ukraine. Frost resistance of the variety is assessed as moderate.

Wheat Adel is characterized by excellent milling and baking qualities and has been included in the list of valuable varieties by grain quality. It is recommended for sowing in optimal regional periods, as well as early sowing until March 8 during spring for problematic sowing periods. Sowing rate is from 4.5 to 5.5 million viable seeds per hectare. The variety was developed by domestic breeding and recommended for cultivation in various zones of Krasnodar Krai, Stavropol Krai, Republic of Adygea, Rostov Oblast, as well as in several regions of Ukraine, confirming its adaptability and high productivity.
