LEUKURUM 21

LEUKURUM 21 is a hard winter wheat variety characterized by a medium maturity period and semi-dwarf growth type. The plants are medium-height, ranging from 79 to 94 cm, with a pyramidal and dense ear containing 34-36 spikelets per 10 cm of the ear rachis. The grain is white, semi-long, and large, with a 1000-grain mass varying from 39 to 52 g. The variety is distinguished by high resistance to lodging, which contributes to crop preservation and improved grain quality. LEUKURUM 21 is intended for cultivation in the North-Caucasian region and is adapted to various climatic conditions. The vegetative period ranges from 221 to 279 days. The variety demonstrates good winter hardiness and drought tolerance, comparable to the benchmark variety Kruipinka. It is recommended to sow on a high agro-background after the best predecessors, such as black and fallow fields, peas, and perennial grasses, which contributes to maximum yield. The main purpose of the variety is the production of high-quality pasta and grain products due to the excellent technological properties of the grain. LEUKURUM 21 has high resistance to diseases, including brown and yellow rust, powdery mildew, and septoria, ensuring yield stability and product quality. The potential yield of the variety reaches 110 c/ha, while the average yield in the region is about 51.6 c/ha, making it a profitable choice for agricultural production.
