PRIKUMSKAYA 140 is a variety of soft winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) of semi-dwarf type, characterized by medium maturity and high adaptability to various climatic conditions. The plant features a medium height ranging from 74 to 95 cm, demonstrating resistance to lodging and pre-harvest sprouting, which ensures crop preservation. The variety boasts high frost resistance, enduring temperatures up to -19°C with a 20-hour exposure, as well as drought resistance comparable to regional standards. The mass of 1000 grains varies from 36 to 45 grams, indicating the variety's large-grained nature. PRIKUMSKAYA 140 exhibits excellent baking qualities: protein content in the grain ranges from 13.3% to 14.0%, gluten from 23.9% to 30.2%, and the sedimentation index falls within the range of 44.0-50.0 seconds. The bread volume reaches 960 ml with a quality rating of 4.7 points, making this variety versatile for various applications. Thanks to its resistance to grain shedding and lodging, the variety is suitable for cultivation over a wide area, including the Central Black Earth, North Caucasian, and Middle Volga regions. Research on the photosynthetic activity of PRIKUMSKAYA 140 indicates that the application of various soil treatment methods and preparations, such as Albite and Siliplant, contributes to enhancing photosynthetic potential, leaf area, and net photosynthetic productivity. This positively impacts yield and the efficiency of agrochemical and mineral nitrogen use, confirming the high agronomic value of the variety when grown on light chestnut soils.
