Odesskaya Luck

Odesskaya Luck is a high-yield winter soft wheat variety with strong adaptability and recommended for cultivation in Steppe, Forest-Steppe, and Polesie zones. The variety is characterized by high yields ranging from 7.4 to 12.8 tons per hectare, as well as resistance to adverse environmental factors such as drought, frost, lodging, ear shattering, and root rot. Plant height reaches 97–109 cm, which promotes good development and grain formation.

Odesskaya Luck wheat is distinguished by high protein content (11.6–15.8%) and gluten content (29.5–34.1%), ensuring excellent grain quality and making it highly sought after for grain use. The thousand-grain weight is 43.2–45.8 grams, indicating large and dense kernels. The variety is resistant to diseases such as septoria, fusarium, brown rust, and powdery mildew, significantly reducing the risk of yield loss.

This versatile variety is suitable for cultivation on various agro-ecological backgrounds, including preceding crops such as rapeseed and sunflower. The recommended seeding rate is 5.5 million germinating seeds per hectare. The variety was registered in 2015 by the Selection and Genetic Institute and has proven itself as a strong and reliable choice for farmers aiming to achieve high-quality wheat yields.
