Fortesa corn is a mid-season simple hybrid with a vegetation period of 123-129 days, primarily intended for grain production. Plants reach a height of 200 to 226 cm, with the ear positioned at approximately 115 cm. The grain is dent-shaped, with a milling yield of about 83.5%. The hybrid is characterized by dense ear filling with semi-open husk leaves, contributing to high harvest quality. The recommended planting density is 70-75 thousand plants per hectare, optimal for achieving maximum productivity.
Fortesa exhibits high resistance to major corn diseases, including helminthosporiosis, blister, and ear rot, as well as high lodging resistance. The hybrid's drought and cold tolerance are rated at 8-9 points, making it a reliable choice for cultivation under various climatic conditions. The plant's robust structure and strong root system ensure stability and adaptation to monoculture, as well as efficient use of soil resources.
The Fortesa hybrid is also adapted for biogas production, expanding its application in the agricultural sector. Due to its high starch and protein content in the grain, it is suitable for various uses. The hybrid producer is a Ukrainian company, while the originator is the Austrian company RWA, guaranteeing high quality and compliance with modern agronomic requirements.
