Mironivska 65

Mironivska 65 — a high-yield winter wheat variety developed by intraspecific hybridization. It belongs to the lutescens type and is characterized by a medium-height semi-erect plant with moderate wax coating. The ear is cylindrical and dense, 10.0–10.5 cm long, with large, egg-shaped, red grains with hairy bases. Plant height is 92–95 cm, and 1000-grain weight is 48.0–50.0 g. The variety has a medium maturity group and is recommended for cultivation in the Polissia and Forest-Steppe regions.

This variety exhibits high winter hardiness and resistance to lodging and shattering, rated at 8–9 points. Resistance to root rot, septoria, fusarium, brown rust, and powdery mildew is moderate — rated 5–7 points. Infection by powdery mildew does not exceed 5%, brown rust — 15%, fusarium head blight and septoria — each at 12%. Drought resistance is also high, rated 8–9 points.

Mironivska 65 has high yield potential — up to 10.3 t/ha (104.5 c/ha), with protein content in grain ranging 14.0–15.2%. The grain exhibits high quality: crude gluten content up to 32%, flour strength 288 o.a., and loaf volume reaching 810 cm³. Bread-making quality rating is 4.8–5.0 points. For optimal results, sowing is recommended between September 25–30 at a seeding rate of 4.5–5.5 million viable seeds per hectare.
