Legend Myronivska

Legend Myronivska — this is a winter wheat variety developed by the Myronivska Institute of Wheat named after V. M. Remesla of the National Academy of Agrarian Sciences of Ukraine. It is recommended for cultivation in the Polissia region, where climatic conditions are most favorable for this variety. Plants have medium height, approximately 100 cm, strong stems of medium thickness, and cylindrical ears of medium length and density. The grain is large, egg-shaped, red in color, ensuring high-quality grain with protein content of about 13.0%. Legend Myronivska is characterized by high yield potential, which can reach 8.9–9.2 t/ha under intensive cultivation technology on highly mineralized soils. It exhibits high resistance to lodging (9 points) and shattering (9 points), ensuring yield retention. Additionally, the variety demonstrates resistance to root rot, fusarium, powdery mildew, brown rust, and septoria, making it resilient to major pathogens and pests. The grain holds firmly in the ear, and large glumes protect it from germination during rainfall. To achieve maximum yield, planting should be done at optimal times using precision seeders on properly prepared soil. Sowing rate varies from 4.5 to 5.0 million germinated seeds per hectare, depending on soil moisture availability. During the vegetation period, application of microelements and growth stimulators positively affects productivity and grain quality. Legend Myronivska is a valuable choice for grain production.
