MIP Zlata

Wheat MIP Zlata is a high-yielding spring wheat variety developed and registered by NAAN of Ukraine in 2017. It is recommended for cultivation in forest-steppe and steppe zones, and also suitable for Polissia conditions. Plants reach a height of 77 to 90 cm and have a spikelet type of ear. The variety is characterized by medium maturity and high drought resistance, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions.

One of the key features of the MIP Zlata variety is its high resistance to major wheat diseases, including fusarium, rust, powdery mildew, brown rust, septoria, root rots, and scab diseases. This ensures stable yields and reduces the risk of losses under adverse weather conditions. On average, the 1000-grain weight ranges from 36 to 47.7 g, and the grain density varies between 765–801 g/l.

The variety is characterized by high protein content — around 14–15% — and high gluten content — from 27.4% to 39% — which ensures high flour strength (280–295 W). This makes MIP Zlata attractive for producing high-quality flour and bakery products. The recommended seeding rate is 265–290 kg/ha or 5.5–6 million seeds per hectare. Under optimal conditions, the variety yields 57–60 centners/ha, confirming its economic efficiency and popularity among agricultural producers.
