Nedra

The spring wheat variety Nedra is an intensive mid-season variety with a vegetation period of 102-104 days. It was developed by individual selection from the variety Dnepryanka and was included in the Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine since 2007. Nedra is distinguished by high resistance to lodging, shattering, drought, as well as to major diseases and pests, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in the Polissya and Forest-Steppe zones of Ukraine.

Wheat Nedra is characterized by high grain quality: protein content is 14.4-15.6%, gluten content — 31.1-37.4%, and gluten deformation index (IDG) reaches 75 conditional points. The milling and baking properties of the variety are good and excellent, flour strength equals 350 conditional units, and bread volume from 100 grams of flour reaches 1050 ml. These characteristics make the variety valuable for producing high-quality flour and bakery products.

The potential yield of the Nedra variety reaches 70 centners per hectare at a seeding rate of 4.5-5 million seeds per hectare. The variety belongs to the intensive type and is characterized by early maturity, maturing 2-3 days earlier than the variety Early 93. Due to its combination of high productivity, resistance to adverse factors, and excellent grain technological properties, wheat Nedra is a promising choice for farmers aiming to achieve high and stable yields.
