Description Monotip
Monotip is a medium-maturing variety of winter wheat, recommended for cultivation in the Polissia, forest-steppe, and steppe regions. Plants reach a height of 75 to 96 cm, have cylindrical, long, medium-density white spikes, and large, egg-shaped red kernels with a thousand-kernel weight ranging from 36.2 to 44.4 g. The variety is strong and resistant, possessing high winter hardiness and good drought tolerance, making it a reliable choice for various climatic conditions. Monotip is characterized by high yield, ranging from 6.5 to 9.0 t/ha, depending on growing conditions and agronomic practices. The variety demonstrates excellent resistance to lodging, shattering, root rots, septoria, fusarium, brown rust, and powdery mildew. It responds well to mineral fertilizer application, which helps maximize its potential. The seeding rate is 4.0–5.0 million viable seeds per hectare. The quality of Monotip grain is high: test weight is approximately 763 g/l, crude protein content is 12.5–13.8%, and gluten content is 26–33.6%. Flour from this variety has a strength of 380–450 units, ensuring bread with a volume of 1420–1470 cm³ and an overall quality rating of 4.7–5.2 points. Due to these characteristics, Monotip is suitable for producing high-quality flour and bakery products.
