ZIMOGOR

Zimogor is a winter variety of triticale, distinguished by its high resistance to various adverse factors and diseases. The plant is medium-height with a semi-erect bush and a culm height ranging from 80 to 135 cm. The ear is white, awned of medium length, with long awn-like appendages and noticeable pubescence on the culm below the ear. The grain is colored, elongated, of medium size, with a 1000-seed weight ranging from 39 to 52 g. The vegetation period ranges from 235 to 286 days, providing a medium maturity period and resistance to May frosts and prolonged exposure to ice crust. The Zimogor variety possesses complex field resistance to rusts, root rots, snow mold, fusarium, powdery mildew, powdery and hard smut, as well as viral and bacterial spotting. Thanks to these qualities, it is adapted to various climatic conditions and recommended for cultivation in the Volgo-Vyatsk, Central-Black Earth, North-Caucasian, and Eastern Siberian regions. The yield of the variety in the Rostov region reaches 45.5 c/ha, exceeding standard indicators by 3.8 c/ha. The grain of the Zimogor variety is characterized by high protein content – up to 12.6%, making it in demand in the food industry. It is widely used in the baking and confectionery industries, as well as in the alcohol industry and for the production of compound feeds. Thanks to its agronomic and technological characteristics, the Zimogor variety is a reliable choice for farmers seeking to obtain a quality and stable triticale crop.
