KRISTALL is a type of winter triticale (X Triticosecale Wittm. ex A. Camus) intended for grain use for both fodder and food purposes. It is an early-maturing variety with early to medium heading time, characterized by medium-height plants and a semi-erect bush type. The ear of KRISTALL is half-to fully awned, medium in length and density, with a medium-intensity waxy bloom. The grain is naked, yellow in color, semi-elongated, with the mass of 1000 grains varying from 42.2 to 54.0 grams. The average protein content in the grain is about 12%, which is slightly higher than standard values, and good resistance to diseases such as brown rust, septoria, and ergot is noted.
The KRISTALL variety is distinguished by high yield, which in the Central region reaches an average of 45.5 c/ha with a maximum of 74.2 c/ha obtained in the Tula region. At the same time, the variety shows an increase in yield and protein content compared to the standard, making it profitable for cultivation in various agro-climatic conditions. The plant has weak anthocyanin coloring of the coleoptile and weak waxy bloom on the sheath of the flag leaf, which indicates its adaptive properties.
KRISTALL is recommended for cultivation in the Central, Central Black Earth, North Caucasian, and Lower Volga regions. Due to its characteristics, the variety is suitable for intensive and extensive cultivation technologies, providing a stable and quality crop. Its resistance to adverse conditions and diseases makes KRISTALL a reliable choice for farmers seeking to obtain high-yield and quality grain.
