Rondo is a winter triticale variety designed for grain-fodder use. The plant features medium height and a short stem, ensuring high resistance to lodging. The ear is cylindrical, white, long, and fully awned. The grain is large, semi-elongated, light brown, with a 1000-grain weight ranging from 41.2 to 51.2 grams. The variety's vegetation period ranges from 285 to 317 days, with medium earing time. Grain yield in the Central Black Earth region reaches 40.1 centners per hectare.

The variety has good winter hardiness, matching the regional growing standards. Rondo demonstrates moderate resistance to diseases such as net blotch, brown rust, septoria, and powdery mildew. Additionally, it is weakly affected by root rots and has low damage from pests such as the shield bug and Swedish fly, contributing to yield stability and reduced losses.
