Description TIT
TIT is a winter triticale variety resulting from interspecific hybridization between the Valentin 90 and Sharada varieties. The plant is of medium height, reaching 110-120 cm, with strong and lodging-resistant straw. The ear is pyramidal, short and dense, awnless, with a strong waxy coating on the sheath of the flag leaf. The grain is semi-round, red in color, of medium size, with the 1000-grain mass varying from 38.1 to 60 g. The variety is late-maturing, heading out 1-2 days later than Valentin 90, and exhibits high winter hardiness and drought resistance.

TIT demonstrates high yield and stability in various regions, including the Central and North Caucasian regions. Average yield ranges from 33 to 45.5 centners/ha, with a maximum recorded yield of 56.2 centners/ha. Potential yield can reach 120 centners/ha. The variety is resistant to grain shattering after prolonged standing, and is easily threshed, which facilitates harvesting. Thanks to strong straw and a dense ear, the plant is resistant to lodging and mechanical damage.

The TIT variety is characterized by high resistance to a range of diseases, including powdery mildew, loose and hard smut, yellow and brown rust, septoria, Fusarium ear blight, and snow mold. The grain of the variety is characterized by high protein content (about 13%) and crude gluten (about 24%), ensuring excellent milling and baking qualities. The variety is recommended for food use and is suitable for cultivation in the Central, Volga-Vyatka, Central Black Earth, North Caucasian, Middle Volga, and Lower Volga regions of Russia.
