Knyaz

Krnyaz is a variety of winter triticale, an artificially bred hybrid of rye and wheat, widely used in agriculture due to its unique properties. Triticale is distinguished by high yield, resistance to fungal diseases, and tolerance to soil and climatic conditions. This variety has high protein and lysine content, making it valuable both for the food industry and for feeding cattle and pigs.

The Krnyaz variety, also known as Obryi Myronovsky, is successfully grown in all soil and climatic zones of the country, including the Polesie, Forest-Steppe, and Steppe. It demonstrates high yield potential, reaching up to 97 c/ha, and has medium maturation periods. Sowing begins in late September – early October. Krnyaz grows well on soils with low agro-fond and even on saline soils, showing high winter hardiness and drought resistance. The variety has medium resistance to waterlogging and practically maximum resistance to such diseases as septoria, brown rust, fusarium, and powdery mildew.

Triticale Krnyaz is widely used as a grain crop for the production of porridge and flour, as well as in the bread industry due to stable gluten content, which ensures high-quality bread. In addition, the grain is used to produce biofuel – bioethanol, which underscores the prospectiveness of this crop in the agricultural sector. Thanks to its universal properties, the Krnyaz variety is a valuable choice for farmers seeking to obtain high and quality yields under various conditions.
