Maize Fulbi CS

Genetic Profile and Hybrid Structure

The «Fulbi KS» hybrid, developed by the French breeder Caussade Semences, is engineered to bridge the gap between early maturity and high yield potential. As a simple hybrid, it offers remarkable crop uniformity, which simplifies harvesting operations. The flint-dent kernel type is a strategic technical choice: it inherits high seedling vigor from the flint parent and improved dry-down rates from the dent component, ensuring efficient moisture loss during the final maturation stages.

Phytosanitary Resilience

A key technical advantage of «Fulbi KS» lies in its robust defense mechanism against yield-limiting pathogens. The hybrid displays significant tolerance to Helminthosporium leaf blight and Fusarium ear rot, which are major threats in moderate climates. This genetic resistance, combined with physical attributes of the husk cover, ensures the integrity of the ear and minimizes yield loss. It also shows stable resistance against head smut, protecting stem stability throughout the growing cycle.

Technical Guidelines for Optimal Performance

With an FAO rating of 90–1240, this hybrid is tailored specifically for grain production. To fully unlock the hybrid's genetic yield potential, the manufacturer recommends a planting density of 75,000 to 80,000 plants per hectare. This density range is calibrated to eliminate intra-species competition for sunlight and nutrients, allowing for the development of fully filled, high-quality ears that meet commercial storage standards.
