Cardeal

Cardeal — a high-yielding hybrid of table beet with round, uniform, and very smooth roots weighing from 220 to 350 grams. The beet flesh is dark red, tender, sweet, and tasty, making this variety ideal for early harvest as bunches, as well as for long-term storage. Due to its high sugar content, reaching 14-15%, Cardeal is an excellent choice for processing.

The vegetation period of the hybrid is 100-105 days, shortened to 55-65 days with summer sowing. The leaf rosette is semi-erect, small, and 33-40 cm tall, facilitating harvesting. The variety shows moderate resistance to diseases such as rizoctonia and downy mildew, and it tolerates high temperatures and drought well.

Cardeal seeds are packaged in 2-gram portions and produced by the Sakata brand from Japan. This hybrid is not only high-yielding and delicious but also reliably resistant to adverse conditions, making it a profitable and practical choice for growing table beets.
