Bohan

Bohan F1 table beet is a mid-season, high-yielding hybrid developed by Bejo Zaden from the Netherlands. The plant's vegetative period is approximately 116–120 days, allowing for a high-quality harvest under continental climate conditions. The hybrid is adaptable to various growing conditions and agronomic practices, but performs best with moderate soil moisture and timely weed control. Plants form tall, upright stems, facilitating harvest, and exhibit good resistance to cercosporosis and viral diseases.

Bohan beet roots have a round shape with a smooth surface, free of bumps and light radial rings when cut. The average root weight is 200–250 grams, with a diameter of 8–11 cm. The flesh is a rich dark-red color with a purplish tint, fiber-free, ensuring excellent taste — the beet is very sweet and juicy. Dry matter content reaches 13.5%, and sugar content is around 11%, making this hybrid particularly attractive for fresh consumption, culinary use, and processing, including juice production.

Bohan F1 beet is suitable for both commercial-scale cultivation and home gardens. Due to its excellent market quality and ability to be stored for long periods, the harvest can be sold immediately after harvest or stored. The plant responds well to the application of phosphorus-potassium fertilizers, which can increase yields to 50–70 tons per hectare. This hybrid is a versatile product combining high productivity, disease resistance, and superior taste qualities.
