Sudan grass ALISA

Consistent performance with minimal input

The «Alisa» Sudan grass variety from the Agricultural Research Center «Donskoy» is built for reliability. From an operator's perspective, this crop is a low-maintenance asset: its natural resistance to smut and aphids significantly reduces the need for constant chemical protection, allowing you to optimize your crop protection budget effectively.

Harvesting and usage efficiency

The variety is designed for two cuts per season, fitting perfectly into standard fodder production cycles. With a green mass yield of 35–45 t/ha, «Alisa» provides a versatile raw material suitable for:

• Green fodder: highly palatable for livestock.
• Hay: the stem structure allows for fast and uniform drying.
• Silage: provides excellent fermentation characteristics for high-quality feed.

With a 1000-kernel weight of 15–18 g, the seed is easy to calibrate for various drilling equipment, ensuring precise seed rates and avoiding wastage. Field operations are smooth; the uniform stand height minimizes mechanical losses during mowing and baling, extending the service life of your harvesting machinery.

Operational summary

«Alisa» is an ideal choice for operations where consistency is key. It thrives under standard management practices and delivers a reliable 35–45 tons per hectare. If you are looking for a variety that minimizes downtime and operational headaches while delivering solid nutritional yields, this is a proven tool for your livestock division.
