The Sudan grass variety "ALLEGORIA" is distinguished by early maturation and good yield of both grain and green mass. The grain yield ranges from 2.3 to 3.2 tons per hectare, while the green mass yield ranges from 22.0 to 26.0 tons. Plant height reaches 250–270 cm, ensuring good stem structure and ease of harvesting.
Protein content in the grain is in the range of 7.6–7.8 %, and starch is from 61.8 to 63.2 %. These indicators make "ALLEGORIA" a valuable feed for animals, ensuring high energy and protein potential. When processed in dry form, protein content is about 7.3 %, and fiber is 30.1 %.
Growing technology is flexible: seeds can be sown in a wide-row method (inter-row 70 cm) or a standard row method (inter-rows 15 and 30 cm). Optimal density for green mass production is achieved when sowing 6–10 kg of conditioned seeds per hectare in a wide-row mode, and 12–16 kg/ha for inter-rows of 15–30 cm. This approach allows adaptation of cultivation to various agro-technical conditions and production requirements for hay, silage, or ensilage.
