VOLOGRADOVSKAYA 77 – is a variety of sorghum sudangrass (Sorghumxdrummondii), intended for cultivation in grain-feed conditions. The variety is distinguished by high yield and rich nutrient composition, which makes it a valuable source of green feed, hay, and silage.
The crop is well adapted to steppe and forest-steppe regions, including southern Ukraine, Altai, Volga region, and the Far East. Under optimal agrotechnical conditions, hay yield reaches 6.8–9.7 tons/ha. Sudangrass shows excellent resistance to intensive grazing: after harvesting, the plant can regrow 4-5 times during the vegetation period, ensuring a stable flow of feed resources.
The VOLOGRADOVSKAYA 77 variety is also widely used as a cover crop for alfalfa and for improving saline soils. Thanks to its high productivity and ability to recover quickly, it contributes to increasing the overall efficiency of agricultural production, providing quality feed and soil resistance to erosion.
