Sudan grass KINEL 100

Consistency in Feed Production

The «Kinelskaya 100» Sudan grass is a specialized forage variety bred to provide stable yields in challenging environmental conditions. Its primary advantage over competitor hybrids is high genetic resistance to leaf spot and bacteriosis. While many varieties experience significant biomass loss due to these common pathogens, «Kinelskaya 100» maintains its foliage integrity and nutritional value throughout the growing season.

Technical Performance and Yield

This variety is designed for high-efficiency farming, proving its value across three main categories of forage utilization:

• Green mass yield: 25–35 t/ha, ideal for daily forage feeding.
• Hay yield: 8–10 t/ha, providing a high-quality winter feed base.
• Nutritional content: Protein levels in dry matter reach 10–12%, supporting livestock health and productivity.

With a 1000-seed weight of 10–15 grams, the recommended sowing rate is 20–25 kg/ha. This seeding density is calculated to optimize moisture usage and prevent excessive competition among plants, ensuring consistent development across the field.

Optimal Use and Suitability

«Kinelskaya 100» is the best fit for livestock operations that prioritize simplicity and reliability. It is versatile enough for green fodder, silage, and hay. Unlike high-maintenance foreign hybrids that often require expensive protection programs, this variety offers a robust performance-to-cost ratio.

A note on management: Its strength lies in field hardiness, but early-stage weed control remains critical. The variety requires clean seedbeds to establish itself properly, so farmers should prioritize pre-sowing soil management to achieve the full yield potential listed above. For those seeking an proven, field-tested variety that minimizes the risk of total crop loss due to disease, this is a strategic choice.
