Moskvichka

Hippophae 'Moscowitka' – a medium-sized shrub up to 2.5 m tall, compact and upright in shape, making it an ideal choice for hedgerows and small gardens. The bush has a light-brown root, thick sturdy shoots, and low thorniness, while the leaves retain a bright green color throughout the season.

The fruits of the 'Moscowitka' variety are large (around 0.72 g), oval in shape with a thin skin. The berry color is rich orange with red spots at the base and apex, and the flesh is dense, juicy and aromatic, imparting a dessert flavor. Due to high yield (≈210 c/ha) and good transportability, the berries are suitable for both home consumption and commercial processing.

The variety is distinguished by its resistance to diseases and pests, frost hardiness and winter hardiness, which allows growing it in various climatic conditions. Optimal conditions – well-lit areas, sheltered from the wind, fertile soil with moderate watering. The flowering period falls in May-June, and ripening – in mid-September. Thanks to the combination of taste, aroma and practical characteristics, 'Moscowitka' is popular among gardeners and farmers.
