Description ATSULA
Sea buckthorn «ATSULA» – a bush berry variety bred in 1986 at the Buryat Fruit and Berry Experimental Station named after I.V. Michurin and included in the state register of approved varieties for the Eastern Siberian region. The plant belongs to the genus *Ribes* (sea buckthorns) and is characterized by a bushy, medium-height growth with a round compact crown. Thorns are present in average quantities, which ensures resistance to mechanical damage during berry collection.

Fruits of the «ATSULA» variety are of medium size (mass approx. 0.42 g), cylindrical and brown-red with a pedicel length of 2–3 mm. Berries do not burst during collection, making them convenient for further processing. The inner taste is sour-sweet, and vitamin C content ranges from 214 to 242 mg/100 g, confirming the product's high nutritional value.

The culture is distinguished by high frost resistance of flower buds and a low degree of freezing (down to -1 °C), allowing cultivation in moderate climates. Yield fluctuates from 0.7 kg/m² (average) to 1.2 kg/m² (maximum), reaching 72–118 kg/ha under optimal conditions. The variety is resistant to sea buckthorn moth and has moderate resistance to other diseases. It is suitable both for the food industry (compotes, jams, jellies) and for decorative purposes, thanks to the bright red berries and compact bush shape.
