ChuySkaya Sea-buckthorn – one of the most popular varieties of berry shrubs, distinguished by high yield and resistance to adverse climatic conditions. The plant is of medium height (3–3.5 m), with a branched crown and dark green shoots, beginning to bear fruit 3–4 years after planting. The fruits have a rich orange color, an oval-cylindrical shape, a medium weight of up to 1 g, and a juicy aroma reminiscent of pineapple. The yield can reach 10–12 kg from one tree or even up to 30 kg per bush depending on growing conditions.
ChuySkaya sea-buckthorn adapts perfectly to a wide range of climatic zones: it withstands frosts down to –35 °C and drought, and grows easily both in open beds and in containers. The root system is open, which facilitates shortening and adaptation of the plant to various soil types. The variety is characterized by a low content of thorns on the branches, which makes it convenient for cultivation in both private gardens and industrial conditions.
ChuySkaya sea-buckthorn fruits can be consumed fresh or used in cooking: preserves, juices, jellies, jam. They are rich in vitamins (especially vitamin C), antioxidants, folic acid, and flavonoids, which contribute to strengthening the immune system, lowering blood pressure, and improving skin condition. Due to their nutritional properties, fruits are also used in the cosmetic industry and as an ingredient in natural skin care products.
For successful cultivation, it is recommended to use seedlings 'male' (0.4–0.6 m) and 'female' (1.1–1.3 m), which are included in the delivery kit. The variety is suitable for both private gardens and commercial plantations, providing a stable income due to high yield and versatility of berry application.
