Description GOMELSKAYA
Hippophae 'gomelskaya' is a type of bush tree (Hippophae ‘gomelskaya’) obtained at the Botanical Garden of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov and recognized during the state variety testing in 1990. The bush is of medium height, slightly branched, with a pyramidal crown; it is characterized by high winter hardiness and resistance to pests.

The fruits of the variety are large (mass about 0.79 g), elongated-rounded, orange-red in color with a red spot on the apex. They have an acidic-sweet taste and aroma, as well as a high content of vitamins and other beneficial substances. Early maturation periods allow for harvest within a short growth period.

Yield reaches 25 kg/bush at age 8, and the average berry mass is about 0.67–0.79 g. Due to high winter hardiness and resistance to wilting, 'gomelskaya' is suitable for all types of processing – from producing juices and compotes to making cosmetic products and food additives. The variety is distinguished by good adaptation to various climatic conditions and can be used in mixed agrotechnics with other sea buckthorn varieties.
