Sweet Lady

The "Sweet Lady" sea buckthorn variety – is a highly productive plant with large, juicy berries of bright orange color. The fruits have minimal acidity and sugar content up to 9%, making them ideal for fresh consumption, juice preparation, jam making, drying, and freezing. Bushes grow to a height of 3–4 m, have a compact crown scheme with moderate density and few thorns, which significantly eases harvest collection.

The plant is grown annually from the 3–4th year and is characterized by high frost resistance up to –35 °C, drought resistance, and resilience to wilting. The root system is closed, which is suitable for planting in well-lit areas with light drained soil. Watering should be moderate, especially during the berry formation period, and pruning helps rejuvenate the plant and improve yield.

For ensuring fruiting, the presence of a male pollinator is required; it is recommended to plant two plants for cross-pollination. The berries have an oval-cylindrical shape, length about 10 mm, flesh is dense and juicy, taste is dessert with increased vitamin C content. Long peduncle (5–6 mm) facilitates separation of berries from clusters, making harvest collection even more efficient.
