Lilac "50th October Anniversary" – is a large pyramidal bush up to two meters high with wide green leaves. Buds are purple‑lavender, and upon blooming form bright saturated pink‑purple flowers, which gradually transition to delicate pink shades. Each individual bud contains simple aromatic flowers with a diameter of 3–3.5 cm.
Lilac inflorescences are large and dense: they have a width of about 20 × 18 cm and consist of several pairs of wide-pyramidal racemes. Flowering begins in the third decade of May and continues until late summer, while the number of flowers is abundant, making the bush particularly impressive against the garden background.
The bush is frost-resistant – winter hardiness corresponds to zone 3 (temperatures down to ‑34 °C). Thanks to its shape, bright colors, and long flowering period, the lilac "50th October Anniversary" is perfect for greening gardens and parks, creating a rich aromatic background in the summer season.
