Description Zarnitsa
Sea-buckthorn «Zarnitsa» – a large-fruited variety with high carotenoid and vitamin C content (≈95 mg). The bush is medium-sized with a rigid, elastic crown; shoots are thick, curved, with drooping tips, covered with medium-thickness thorns. Fruits are round, orange-red in color, average weight 0.5–0.8 g, juicy and fragrant, with a sour-sweet taste.

The variety is distinguished by high yield – up to 12 t/ha (≈9–10 kg per tree) and resistance to adverse conditions: winter hardiness, drought resistance, low susceptibility to endomycosis and sea-buckthorn fly. The ripening period begins in September; the plant starts fruiting as early as 3–4 years after planting.

«Zarnitsa» is suitable both for direct consumption and for processing: canning, freezing, making juices and infusions. High disease resistance makes it a convenient choice for gardeners and commercial plantations.
