HAWTHORN

Hawthorn "HAWTHORN" is a popular variety, growing as a small tree or shrub with an oval crown and weak thorns on the branches. The plant usually grows to a height of 200 to 250 centimeters, and the trunk has a light-brown color with characteristic bark. The leaves are narrow and elongated, green on top and silvery on the bottom, which gives the bush an attractive look.

The fruits of the "HAWTHORN" variety are large and broadly oval, with a mass of about 0.7 grams, bright orange in color. At the moment of full ripening, they become juicy, contain small brown seeds, and have a sweet taste with a pleasant aroma. The sugar content is about 7.5%, acids – 1.2% and vitamin C – more than 100 mg/%. These indicators make the fruits valuable both for fresh consumption and for processing into various products.

Hawthorn "HAWTHORN" is distinguished by high frost resistance and low care requirements. Fruits begin to ripen in mid-August, and the yield can reach 10 kg from one bush. For successful growth, it is necessary to plant both male and female plants, since the plant is dioecious. Flowers on female bushes are yellowish-green, gathered in large clusters, and on males – brownish, small spikes. The variety starts to bloom in late April–early May and is an excellent choice for gardeners looking for a reliable source of useful berries.
