FREESTYLE is a mid-maturing spring barley (Avena sativa L.) variety intended for grain-forage use. It is characterized by a medium-height, semi-upright culm and belongs to the aurea group. The vegetative period ranges from 73 to 95 days, allowing the variety to mature simultaneously with the Boruss variety and several days earlier than standard varieties Bulanoy and Yakov. The mass of 1000 grains varies between 32-41 grams, indicating large grain size and high seed quality. The variety is moderately resistant to crown rust but susceptible to powdery head smut. FREESTYLE is recommended for cultivation in the Central region of Russia, specifically in the Ivanovo and Ryazan regions, where it shows an average yield of about 36.9 centners per hectare. The protein content in the grain ranges from 9.8-11.4%, ensuring good quality forage raw materials. Additionally, the chemical composition includes 60.2 g/kg protein, 94.1 g/kg essential oils, and 11.7% starch, making this variety valuable for feed production. FREESTYLE seeds belong to the elite class and have a moisture content of about 23.4%. Thanks to its agronomic characteristics and resistance to adverse conditions such as drought, this oat is a reliable choice for farmers seeking a stable and quality harvest. The variety is suitable for planting in the spring season and ensures effective land use in regions with a moderate climate.
