The Amur Local buckwheat variety is a mid-season type with a vegetative period ranging from 70 to 90 days. The plant is diploid, of indeterminate growth type, which ensures stability against lodging and shattering. The terminal inflorescence has a shield shape; buds and flowers are white. The grain is large; the mass of 1000 grains varies from 27 to 36 grams, indicating high uniformity and product quality. The variety belongs to the alyaut type and is characterized by high technological and culinary qualities.

Amur Local is recommended for cultivation in various regions, including the Volga-Vyatka and Urals, as well as in the Republic of Bashkortostan. The average yield in these regions is about 15.7 centners per hectare, while in Bashkortostan, an increase in yield of up to 16.0 centners per hectare has been noted. The maximum recorded yield reached 27.7 centners per hectare in the Chelyabinsk region. The variety has medium resistance to ascochitosis.

The sowing qualities of Amur Local seeds meet high standards: laboratory germination reaches 92%, which complies with GOST requirements. Seeds are characterized by low content of weed impurities and optimal moisture, which allows their use in the procurement base. In terms of grain quality, the variety belongs to the second class, which confirms its value for agricultural production and the food industry.
