Bogatyr Buckwheat is a mid-season, high-yield buckwheat variety developed by the Oryol Agricultural Experimental Station. It is distinguished by large grains with a mass of 22-23 grams per 1000 seeds and a hulling rate of about 20%. This variety leads in sown areas and is widely distributed in various regions, including the Central Black Earth Zone, the Volga Region, the North Caucasus, the southern Non-Black Earth Zone, Western Siberia, as well as in Ukraine, Belarus, and Kazakhstan.
BOGATYR is characterized by medium resistance to lodging and shattering, as well as high requirements for heat and moisture. The plant reaches a height of up to 70 cm, has a red stem, and heart-shaped triangular leaves. Flowering occurs from June to September, and fruit maturation takes place in September-October. Thanks to its resistance to dry periods, this variety is suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions.
Bogatyr buckwheat seeds are widely used in cooking and medicine due to their nutritional properties. This grain product is valued for its high quality and versatility, making it a popular choice among agricultural producers and consumers.
