Millet Kyivskoe 96 / Kyivs'ke 96

Yield Stability in Challenging Environments

«Kyivske 96» is a benchmark variety for producers focusing on risk mitigation and consistent performance. Developed by the National Scientific Center «Institute of Agriculture of the NAAS», this millet variety is specifically adapted to the soil and climatic conditions of Ukraine, providing predictable yields even under moisture deficit scenarios.

Agronomic Value and Field Performance

The primary advantage of «Kyivske 96» lies in its genetic resilience. Unlike many modern hybrids, this variety demonstrates high field resistance to smut, effectively reducing grain quality losses at harvest. This allows farmers to optimize their crop protection strategies and significantly reduce input costs associated with intensive fungicide treatments.

• Disease Resistance: Natural resilience to smut and other pathogens minimizes the need for chemical intervention.
• Harvest Efficiency: Uniform maturity ensures optimal combine settings and minimizes losses during direct harvesting.
• Resource Efficiency: The variety exhibits robust performance on medium-fertility soils without requiring excessive synthetic fertilizer inputs.

Practical Application in Crop Rotation

Agronomists prefer «Kyivske 96» for fields with high pathogen pressure where securing a clean, marketable harvest is the top priority. Its high early-season vigor ensures rapid row closure, creating a natural competitive barrier against weeds. This makes it an excellent choice for farms aiming for sustainable production practices while maintaining high output profitability.

When planning your planting schedule, consider that «Kyivske 96» responds exceptionally well to timely sowing. It fits seamlessly into diverse crop rotation models, serving as an reliable link in the production cycle and preparing fields effectively for subsequent winter crops.
