Denvikskoe

Denvikskoe proso — a mid-season variety, registered in the Ukrainian Plant Varieties Register since 2006. It was developed by individual selection from a hybrid combination and is characterized by a vegetation period of 85 to 100 days. The variety is distinguished by high drought resistance, making it a reliable choice for cultivation in various climatic conditions. The potential yield of this variety ranges from 5.5 to 7.0 tons per hectare, indicating its high productivity.

The grain of the Denvikskoe variety is dark yellow, large, and oval-round in shape. The husk content is 17-18%, and the rice yield reaches 78-80%, ensuring high quality of the final product. The variety is resistant to melanosis and has moderate resistance to rust, which helps reduce crop losses and improves grain quality. The direction of use is valuable, highlighting its significance for the food industry.

For optimal sowing, seeding rates vary depending on the region: 4 ml per hectare for the Polissia region, 3.2-3.6 ml per hectare for the Forest-Steppe region, and 2.2-2.6 ml per hectare for the Steppe region. These recommendations allow for the maximum utilization of the variety’s potential and ensure stable yields across various agro-climatic zones.
