Millet Cossack

Precision genetics for stable millet yields

The «Kozatske» millet variety, developed by the V. Ya. Yuriev Plant Production Institute, represents a benchmark in Ukrainian breeding for stability and performance. Unlike many hybrids that require intensive inputs, «Kozatske» is recognized for its high standing ability, significantly reducing harvest losses and mechanical stress during combining operations.

Key advantages for farm economy

The primary edge of this variety lies in its natural resistance to smut diseases (Ustilaginales). By integrating this genetic resistance into their crop rotation, farmers can reduce the reliance on intensive fungicide applications, thereby cutting down input costs without compromising yield potential. This makes it a preferred option for sustainable and cost-efficient farming operations.

• Type: Millet variety of Ukrainian origin.
• Agronomics: High resistance to lodging.
• Phytosanitary profile: Resistant to smut diseases.

For agricultural producers seeking a balance between reliable genetics and ease of management, «Kozatske» offers a robust solution. It is particularly well-suited for operations aiming to minimize production risks while maintaining consistent grain quality across diverse soil conditions.
