Millet Zoryane

Stable Yields in Steppe Farming Conditions

The «Zoryane» millet variety, developed by the M.M. Gryshko National Botanical Garden, has established itself as a reliable asset for farms operating in high-risk climatic regions. It is the choice of agronomists whose priority is to secure a predictable grain harvest while minimizing losses caused by pathogens.

Disease Resistance as a Foundation for Profitability

A key advantage of this variety is its genetically inherent resistance to smut. In situations where chemical treatment of millet crops is restricted or economically unviable, having immunity to this damaging fungus becomes a deciding factor. This allows farmers to reduce expenditures on fungicide protection and cut down on machinery passes across the field, which directly lowers the cost per centner of production.

Field Application Recommendations

• Crop Rotation Optimization: «Zoryane» fits perfectly into schemes following cereal crops, allowing for the efficient use of moisture in the second half of the summer.
• Harvest Efficiency: The variety demonstrates excellent crop uniformity, which is critical for configuring combine harvesters to achieve minimal losses during direct harvesting.
• Weed Control: Due to its rapid early growth, the variety successfully competes with weeds during the early stages of vegetation, reducing the pressure on herbicide protection systems.

By choosing this variety, agricultural producers opt for classic breeding that has stood the test of time. It is a practical tool for those seeking a balance between high yields and low-maintenance crop management. When following standard agrotechnological guidelines, the crop consistently delivers high-quality grain that meets the rigorous standards of processing enterprises.
