Millet VOLNOE

Stability and Phytosanitary Reliability

The Volnoye millet variety, developed by the Federal Research Center for Legumes and Grops, is a mid-season variety focused on achieving stable yields in intensive farming environments. Its primary advantage is a genetically fixed resistance to smut. At a time when pathogens are rapidly adapting to fungicides, inherent plant immunity becomes a critical factor in reducing production costs and preventing the loss of grain quality.

Agronomic Profile and Benefits

• High Tillering Potential: The variety effectively utilizes planting area, forming a uniform stand.
• Harvesting Efficiency: Volnoye features uniform maturation, which minimizes losses during direct combining.
• Grain Quality: Large, well-filled kernels meet the stringent requirements of the milling industry, simplifying product sales.

Unlike many hybrids that require strict fertilization schedules and specific climatic conditions, Volnoye exhibits significant plasticity to weather fluctuations. This variety is an optimal choice for farms that value predictable results and seek to minimize pesticide application. Its core strength lies in its resistance to various smut diseases, making it the preferred choice for regions with a high infectious background.

For agronomists, Volnoye is a professional tool that reduces dependence on complex seed treatment schemes while maintaining yield potential on par with intensive international varieties. When sown during optimal timeframes, the variety is capable of reaching its maximum potential, ensuring a consistent 1000-kernel weight even in years with significant moisture deficits.
