The DEKO 2 variety – narrow-leafed lupin (Lupinus angustifolius L.), is early-maturing and annual, characterized by uniform ripening and high grain yield up to 35 c/ha. The plant is of medium height (55–60 cm), erect, determinate, with dark green leaves consisting of 5–7 pairs. Flowers are bluish-white, with the keel tip colored blue-black.
This variety is intended for both grain production and fodder use. The grain is white, without ornamentation, contains over 32% protein and less than 0.02% alkaloids, while bitter substances are absent. The shelling-type pod is of medium length, has a strong parchment layer, and is not hairy.
Lupin DEKO 2 is resistant to low temperatures and moderately resistant to Fusarium, making it suitable for cultivation in various climatic conditions. High protein content makes the grain a valuable feed for animals, while decorative flowers add brightness and attractiveness to gardens. Thanks to its hardiness and ability to grow quickly, this variety is easily cultivated both on agricultural fields and in decorative flowerbeds.
