The lupin variety «Dega» is a tall determinate plant standing 80–90 cm high, characterized by an upright form and medium height compared to other varieties. The seeds are white, large, and round-angular; the mass of 1000 seeds ranges from 270 to 350 g. Pods form on the main stem and shortened lateral branches of the first–second order, ensuring high grain yield – competitive trials achieved 41 cts/ha of grain and 763 cts/ha of green mass. The vegetative period is 115–130 days, the variety ripens quickly, and is suitable for early sowing.
Key product characteristics include high protein content in the grain (37–38 %) and fat (8–10 %), as well as low alkaloid content – 0.05 % in grain and 0.025–0.035 % in dry green mass. These indicators make «Dega» a valuable feed material for animals and suitable for silage production. The variety is resistant to pod cracking and grain shedding on the root, has high resistance to fusarium and field resistance to anthracnose.
Lupin «Dega» is widely used both as a grain crop and for green feed production. Due to its structure, it is also applied for soil loosening in cover crop mixtures. The product complies with GOST requirements for purity and moisture; crude protein reaches 42 %, confirmed by a declaration of conformity and test protocol. Varietal batches are available in volumes up to 400 tons, ensuring stable quality for agricultural enterprises.
