VYROVSKAYA

Festuca rubra 'VYROVSKAYA' – a perennial grass widely used for creating meadow lawns and ordinary lawns due to its resistance to various climatic conditions. The plant has an erect stem 10 to 120 cm long, and the height of the adult plant reaches approximately 120 cm. The leaves of the ryegrass are rough, blue-green in color, with leaf width up to 1.5 cm, and the stems are covered with a rough surface and are a rich green color. The root system is deeply branched; roots can penetrate the soil to a depth of 60 cm, which ensures drought resistance and good soil fixation.

For planting Festuca rubra 'VYROVSKAYA', sunny areas with well-drained loamy or clay-loam soils are preferred. The plant prefers moderate moisture (40–60 %) and can grow at temperatures from 10 to 25 °C. After planting, the sapling must be thoroughly watered, and then regular watering must be maintained during the active growth period. Lawn care is simple: remove withered leaves in spring and cut the inflorescence after flowering to stimulate new vegetative development.
