RETU

RETU is a variety of tall fescue (Festuca arundinacea), known for its semi-erect stems and medium height of 80‑90 cm. It has medium-sized, dark green leaves with good resistance to rust and drought, making the plant suitable for use in lawns, pastures, and feed systems.

The vegetative period of the variety lasts 35‑40 days. Under optimal conditions, the yield of green mass reaches 55‑70 c/ha, and dry matter reaches 30‑45 c/ha. Due to the high density of leaf mass and resistance to adverse climatic factors, RETU is widely used in landscape design, sports lawns, and decorative flower beds.

The variety is characterized by ease of care: removing withered leaves in spring and cutting the seed heads after flowering help maintain a neat lawn. RETU grows well on sandy, loamy, and rocky soils, preferring sunny locations with good drainage. Its cold hardiness makes the plant suitable for most climatic zones, while its high yield ensures a stable supply of material for both feed mixtures and decorative purposes.
