Fescue Longfellow

A Reliable Turf for Active Lifestyles

When you need a turf that can handle both the wear and tear of a backyard playground and constant foot traffic, Longfellow by DLF is a standout choice. This red fescue (Festuca rubra) is a hallmark of Danish breeding: it avoids the high-maintenance requirements of fine ornamental lawns while still offering a deep, professional-looking aesthetic that outperforms standard grass mixes.

Field Experience and Maintenance

It maintains this premium appearance even during drier spells. It is a true time-saver for anyone managing their own lawn.

Seeding and Practical Tips

Longfellow thrives in moderately lit areas and handles daily life with ease.

• High Traffic Tolerance: The durability claim is not just marketing fluff. The turf maintains its integrity remarkably well, even after heavy use.
• Visual Appeal: The dark green foliage provides a clean, uniform look that elevates the appearance of any landscape.
• Management: The growth rate is steady but manageable, meaning you won’t feel like you are tied to a lawnmower every single weekend.

If you are looking for a balance between visual aesthetics and practical, high-traffic durability, this DLF variety is among the most reliable options available.
