Star

Star carrot is a mid-season hybrid with large cylindrical root vegetables 20-25 cm long and weighing 140-180 g. The roots have a smooth surface and an attractive red-orange color, while the flesh is juicy, tender, and very sweet with slight nutty notes. Thanks to the absence of bitterness and high content of beta-carotene, vitamins A, C, K, as well as minerals and antioxidants, this variety is not only tasty but also a healthy product.

The Star variety is distinguished by high commercial quality and excellent storability, allowing roots to be stored until the next harvest without loss of quality or rotting. The carrot is suitable for fresh consumption, canning, freezing, and making juice, as well as for stewing, baking, and preparing soups and stews. The bright saturated color of the roots makes dishes more attractive and original.

For successful cultivation, it is recommended to plant carrots in well-moistened, loose, and fertile soil with uniform moisture throughout the growing season to avoid cracking of roots. Sowing is carried out in late April - early May with a distance between plants of 5x20 cm and between rows of 18-20 cm. The variety is resistant to bolting and cracking, and is suitable for autumn sowing, which makes it convenient for various climatic conditions and growing periods.
