KIDS' BREAKFAST

The "Kids' Breakfast" carrot variety is a mid-season, high-yielding variety with bright orange cylindrical root crops 20-22 cm long and 2.5-3 cm in diameter. The root crops have a blunt tip, a small core, and a juicy, tender, sweet flesh of red-orange color. The average weight of one root crop is 120-160 grams. The foliage reaches a length of 35-40 cm. This variety is distinguished by good transportability and suitability for long-term storage, which makes it convenient for growing and marketing.

The "Kids' Breakfast" variety is versatile in use: it is recommended for fresh consumption as well as for the preparation of sweet juices and purees with increased carotene content, which is especially important for children's and dietary nutrition. Carrots differ in resistance to root crop cracking and do not bolt, which contributes to a stable yield and product quality.

Growing carrots of this variety requires sowing seeds in furrows at a depth of 1.5-2.0 cm with the possibility of winter sowing at the end of October – beginning of November at a depth of 3 cm. To maintain optimal soil moisture until seedlings appear, it is recommended to cover the sowing with film. During growth, thinning is carried out twice: the first when the first two pairs of true leaves appear, the second – when the root crops reach a diameter of 1 cm. The crop forms in 95-100 days from seedlings with a yield of 6-7 kg per square meter.
